Kibiko Water Project (2004) is a community water distribution initiative serving the entire residents living in Kibiko location and its suburbs in Kajiado West sub-county of Kajiado County.
The water project was started in early 1980 and registered under The Ministry’s Department of Social Services under certificate No. CD2/243 on 8th December 1994.

The water project was reorganized in 2004 and since then it has been run by an organized Management Committee electable at annual general meeting on regular basis in collaboration with a secretariat headed by a qualified Project Manager who leads both office and field technical personnel in ensuring efficient and effective distribution of water to registered and connected consumers as well as the water kiosk vending especially for the poor who do not readily afford individual household connection.
The water project’s activities are run from its head office situated at its own land at Kiburuti along Ngong – Suswa road.
The core mandate of the water project is to extract and distribute high quality water services to the residents of Kibiko location and its surroundings. The water project comprises registered and or connected consumers who elect a Management Committee headed by a chairperson.
